Senior 2 Senior Finds Perfect Match in Web Site Partner
Americaneagle.com, a Web site design, development, and hosting company based outside Chicago, has paired up with QED Marketing for a second time to launch their latest matchmaking Web site. Senior 2 Senior ( www.Sr2sr.com), a unique online environment that targets people ages 50 and over, enables seniors to have a better chance at “love at first click.”
“There are many people who don’t fit the mold that typical dating sites require,” says Spencer Koppel, President of QED Marketing. “As a result, they are not easily matched there and tend to be lost in the crowd of ‘normal’ people. Even though there are already several ‘niche’ dating sites, they really only duplicate the profiles and match scoring system of the traditional sites.”
Acknowledging these obstacles, Senior 2 Senior sets out to give its targeted group better results when searching for romance or friendship on the Web. To achieve this, the database design allows QED to have full control over questions and their respective scoring weights. This way, the system can be constantly fine-tuned to optimize the matching algorithms.

As a redevelopment plan gets underway in Park Ridge’s downtown community, Americaneagle.com completes construction of the city’s new Internet presence, www.parkridge.us. In redesigning the Park Ridge Web site, Americaneagle.com focused on ease of navigation in incorporating large amounts of information that serve the needs of several audiences. This same functional simplicity is also reflected in the Content Management System, custom developed for Park Ridge administrators to modify the site’s content at the city’s discretion.
The resulting Web site is a clean and inviting online experience with a graphic appeal that emulates the city’s charming and communal atmosphere. With the expanding residential and business development in Park Ridge, the new Web site will prove an increasingly popular and functional resource for the city, community members, and visitors alike.

Chicago Tribune Article Reinforces Prospering E-commerce Channel
|
A June article in the Chicago Tribune takes an updated look at e-commerce venues in comparison to their brick-and-mortar counterparts. In some cases, as with Chiasso—who recently chose Americaneagle.com to redevelop their existing online store—a strong Internet commerce presence offers a greater return on investment, with less investment, than physical stores. In other cases, Web sites are more profitable as orders are less costly to process. But in all cases, managing multiple commerce channels, including brick-and-mortar, catalogue, and Web site, still proves the most profitable approach to sales by targeting audiences from all angles.

iGOvacation Goes Online in Time for Summer Travel
When people vacate their hometowns, bound or busting for faraway destinations, some stay with friends and family, some stay at hotels, while others opt to rent vacation homes. For those who go the way of rental properties, how do you locate, investigate, and secure your vacation home reservations?

New York Giants Web Site Recognized by NFL for Best Design
Americaneagle.com is pleased to announce that the NFL recently recognized the New York Giants Web site for its outstanding design. At its annual Internet Awards event, the NFL selects those club sites that stand out from other clubs in various categories such as best content, best fan interactivity, and in the case of the New York Giants, best site design.
Like it does with other professional sports teams, Americaneagle.com enlists a talented group of graphic designers to create each Web site's unique look. The NY Giant's site is distinguishable by a look and feel that is somewhat unconventional in the professional sports world, which may be one reason that it was picked as the best design. An in-your-face picture on the homepage of a player in an athletic pose (see image at right) is just one of the many exciting graphical elements featured throughout the site. To see for yourself what the NFL and NY Giants fans are raving about, stop over at www.giants.com.
